*Insert Interesting Title Here*

After staring at my not-updated blog for almost a month, I get the urge to write at 12:26 am on a Saturday night. No scratch that, a Sunday morning--sorry. Strange, I know. But then who ever said I was normal? :]

Obviously, quite a bit has happened since March 16th. I finished my first year of college (WOOOO!!! I really should've made an independent post on this, but alas the time for it has passed) and moved back to Herriman for a summer of craziness. My older sister Valene returned from her mission in Tulsa, OK (AHHH!!....also probably should've had a post of its own...) and got engaged and is going to be married June 27 (EEEE!!!). I got a job at Arctic Circle (glamorous, I know. You're jealous.) to pay for next semester's bills. And I'm planning two bridal showers (well....ok. My mom and aunt are helping :D ).

Hmmm...well when it's all written out, it doesn't sound that crazy or busy, but believe me when I say it has. In one whirl-wind of a week we got most of Valene's wedding planned, including the dress, reception, tuxes, and temple all reserved/bought. And then Kaitlin, Braeden, and Marissa have end-of-the-year concerts, performances, projects, and meetings. Us three older girls have jobs and only one car between us, which makes for a rather exciting game of car-shuffling/chauffering every day. (Car situation = need for a close job = Arctic Circle. Hence, my present employment, in case you were curious). Kaitlin was chosen to play with the Utah Symphony in a special youth performance (YAY! Kaitlin, you're a mad, talented genius), and so is driven downtown most everyday for practice, which means my free time is allotted to filling my mother's role of driving Braeden and Marissa to various places. Then I have exactly 16 days to pull together a fabulous bridal shower. Oh, and work, which is much more stressful than I anticipated. I have sore stress muscles in my neck and shoulders to prove it.

...So I don't know why I decided you needed to know all the stresses in my life. It's not really all that bad, just not the relaxed summer I thought it would be.

Um...yep. :]

The initial thought that prompted me to write this update was how heartbreaking it is to suddenly realize how far apart you've grown from people you consider your best friends. I mean, it's nothing that should be surprising to me--I've moved enough times to know that distance does eventually weaken friendship, no matter how 'best of friends' you were. Its just....depressing I guess. To find it happening again. Though I made three incredible, close friends at BYU, they're now in England, Nepal, and Kentucky, and quite unavailable for hanging out. Though emails and crazy postcards are quite fun to get. :]

Anywho...now that I've thought myself into quite a depressing state of mind, I think I'll get some sleep so I can wake up and make some brekkie for my Moma in the morning. :]

...or maybe I'll just read until I fall asleep. :D haha

Happy Mother's Day to you all!
